Arthritis Foundation


The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. The Alabama Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation is one of the Foundation’s 150 offices that provide community-based services and raises funds for research. The Chapter offers the following array of services and programs to help empower people to take control over their arthritis and improve their physical, mental and emotional health by: · Helping to find local Life Improvement Series classes in Aquatics, Exercise and Self Help · Providing Leader/Instructor training in Aquatic, Land-based Exercise and Self Help through community partners · Phone assistance available · Latest information on arthritis research · Public and professional seminars scheduled regularly and upon request · Literature & books about arthritis, exercise, medications, treatments and related topics · Providing list of Alabama board-certified rheumatologists · Coordinating juvenile arthritis support services such as Camp MASH, CRS Clinic and more · Providing a free coupon to receive Arthritis Today, an award-winning magazine published 6 times each year
