Make a Difference in Your

Community!

You can help change your community by sharing your time, talent and resources as a local community volunteer. We need your help to share our cause. There are many diverse community volunteer opportunities, some of which include: park revitalizations, neighborhood clean-ups, socializing with Seniors, preparing back- to- school back packs, constructing community gardens and greenscapes, painting a local shelter and so much more.  If you are looking for community volunteer ideas that make a difference, explore our options below. Our community volunteer opportunities allow you and your group to use your special talents to help make a sustainable positive impact in Greater Birmingham.

Birmingham will host the national Neighborhoods, USA (NUSA) Annual Conference, May 23-26 at the Sheraton Hotel. Hundreds of attendees from across the country will gather in Birmingham to gain tips on how to improve, engage and grow their neighborhoods. To help showcase the Magic City and all it has to offer, volunteers are needed to help with several neighborhood clean-ups on May 19th. If you are interested in volunteering, please click HERE.

This conference will give neighborhood leaders information on how government resources, crime and technology impact everyone; the best ways to help residents of all ages handle various issues in their community; and how new technology, sustainability and preservation can add value to older neighborhoods. Neighborhood tours, exercise sessions, a mayors’ panel discussion and more will be highlighted. Also, the best neighborhood programs in the nation will be on display through the Neighborhood Awards.
